Har Har Mahadev, directed by Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande, is based on the true story of Maratha commander Baji Prabhu Deshpande. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the man who established the Maratha empire, had Baji Prabhu as one of his generals. He was a brave warrior who sacrificed his life for Swarajya. Shivaji’s empire reached all the way to the southern part of India, and the stories of Maharaj’s bravery and prowess are still deeply remembered and celebrated in that part of the country. The film features Subodh Bhave as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sharad Kelkar as Baji Prabhu Deshpande.
Produced by Zee Studios, the historical action drama was released in theaters on October 25, in five Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi. Har Har Mahadev’’s creators also released a trailer, which shows a glimpse of the powerful story that the movie will bring to audiences. It contains a lot of heat and will give you goosebumps. The movie will now premiere globally on the ZEE5 streaming services on December 9, 2022.

The multilingual Marathi movie’s teasers were successful in getting people interested. The trailer perfectly captures the cast’s powerful performance. In the trailer, Baji Prabhu, who at first is reluctant to work with Chhatrapati Shivaji, eventually changes his mind and joins the Maratha army as a devoted warrior, which paves the way for the later events. It provides a glimpse of the inspiring story of a real battle led by Baji Prabhu in our country’s history, in which only 300 soldiers fought off a 12,000-strong enemy army and won the battle that enabled Shivaji’s escape from Sinhala Fort.
Story
The story is based on the real-life Pavan Khind battle, in which a small group of Baji Prabhu Deshpande’s Maratha soldiers fought against hundreds of Bijapur Sultanate troops. The Marathas fought for more than five to six hours to ensure Shivaji Maharaj’s safe arrival at Vishalgad. Baji Prabhu Deshpande was killed during this conflict. He was one of several warriors who helped Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj achieve his goal of “Swarajya.”
